Garhwali

Garhwali people are an ethnolinguistic group which hails from the majestic Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand state. A person having ancestral roots from Garhwa or has a cultural background from Garhwal is termed as Garhwali. Garhwalis are fluent speakers of Garhwali dialect and Hindi language. They mostly reside in Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri, Garhwal, Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts of Uttarakhand.
